St. John’s Neuromuscular therapy is designed to specifically treat individuals experiencing structural distortions, biomechanical dysfunctions and the accompanying pain that is often a symptom of an underlying problem. NM therapists are trained to understand the neuromuscular response of pain and to assess body integration. This therapy evaluates the history of the individual, appraises the neuromuscular status through analysis and palpation of soft tissues, and designs a treatment plan to resolve the issues. Individuals experiencing chronic pain of the low back, neck, and/or hips may find relief with Neuromuscular therapy. Also, those who've experienced head trauma, whiplash or TMJ dysfunction may benefit. Those interested in scheduling a Saint John's Neuromuscular massage with our specialist, Joanne Cornell, CMT, please call The Wege Institute for Mind, Body and Spirit at 616-752-6923. |
