Reflexology

Based on the principle that reflex points on the feet correspond to all the organs, systems and structures of the body, reflexology works through the zones and reflex points to achieve balance, release blockages and improve circulation. Health issues eased by these therapies include anxiety, depression, nausea and fatigue caused by cancer treatment, as well as any stress-related illness, IBS or seasonal allergies. The Wege team offers two distinct styles of reflexology—Traditional Thai reflexology and The Ingham Method®.

Traditional Thai consists of a foot warming technique, followed by foot reflexology using a Thai wooden stick, in addition to a general hand, neck and shoulder massage. With The Ingham Method, no instruments are used, only the hand and fingers. A typical foot reflexology session based on this method begins with massage of feet and lower leg and moves into working reflex points on the feet and ankle that correspond to all the systems, organs and structures of the body.

Those interested in scheduling a reflexology massage with Ingham reflexologist Debra Dominiak, NCTMB, CR, CMT or Thai reflexologist, Rachel Florez, CMT, please call The Wege Institute for Mind, Body and Spirit at 616-752-6923.
