Practiced for over 5,000 years, Yoga is a movement therapy that reduces stress and promotes overall mind-body health. Used as an integrative therapy, Yoga is founded on the concept that energy fields regulate the systems of the body. Occasionally these energy fields become unbalanced or blocked, causing illness and unrest. Through a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures and meditation, Yoga therapy “re-sets” the body and helps maintain a proper energy flow. It can also been used as a complementary therapy for a number of conditions including diabetes, cancer, digestive issues and respiratory diseases.
